PREVENT Resources & Signposting

 

WRAP TRAINING: Short for Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent. An introduction to the work of the CTU, the PREVENT team and to the issues surrounding radicalisation (approximately 1hr 20mins). Predominantly aimed at front line public sector workers and organisations that work with potential victims of radicalisation. Schools are being asked to allocate a member of staff to attend train-the-trainer sessions, and then cascade this training to their colleagues. CHANNEL: A multi-agency support system for those vulnerable to - or showing early signs of - radicalisation. Can include one-to-one mentoring. To refer a young person to this process, contact MASH via the Children’s Information and Advice Service

At the end of the module staff members will need to print of their certificate of completion, by entering their details. (Nb. DUE DILLIGENCE CHECKS: All schools are reminded to undertaken open source due-diligence checks on any company, director or performers that you invite to your schools. Please consider contacting other schools for references, to ensure that you are paying for a ‘safe’ product. It is also important to review how the company measure the impact of their performances (not just satisfaction surveys) and ask what sort of classroom resources the company provide that will embed the performance within the curriculum and ongoing work in your school.
