Modern slavery is real. It is happening in our communities. An unseen crime, it hides in take-aways, hotels, car washes, nail bars and private homes.



The Home Office predicts that there may be as many as 13,000 victims in the UK alone. There is no typical victim of slavery. Victims can be men, women and children of all ages and cut across the population, but it is normally more prevalent amongst the most vulnerable, minority or socially excluded groups.


HOPE FOR JUSTICE: Exist to bring an end to modern slavery by rescuing victims, restoring lives, and reforming society. To Live in a world free from slavery. A person who is trafficked for the purpose of sexual exploitation may be controlled by violence, threats, substance abuse, deception or grooming. Forced labor is work done involuntarily under the threat of a penalty such as violence or harm to the victim’s family.

MODERN SLAVERY HELPLINE: The Helpline and Resource Centre provide victims, the public, statutory agencies and businesses access to information and support on a 24/7 basis

Child Trafficking Advice Centre (CTAC): NSPCC's Child Trafficking Advice Centre (CTAC) provides free guidance and training to professionals concerned that a child or young person has been or is about to be trafficked into or out of the UK.


If you work with children or young people who may have been trafficked into the UK, contact the specialist service for information and advice. Call them on 0808 800 5000 or email help@nspcc.org.uk for more information.
